We are glad that you are considering joining the CUMC Sanctuary Choir. Serving the Lord through song is such fun, and at the same time, an awesome responsibility. You will be blessed as you use your gifts to worship and help others experience God.

We feel that we are family and, as such, care for one another through prayer and outreach. We welcome you into our fellowship and look forward to serving with you in this Music Ministry.

Below are some questions and answers that may help you decide whether to join the Sanctuary Choir.

Do I have to audition? No.

Is a nursery available during rehearsals? By request.

What activities can I look forward to?
The opportunity to participate in Wednesday rehearsals, Sunday morning worship, Christmas concerts, and much more!

What are rehearsals like?
Rehearsals are a very rewarding experience for choir members. We start with a warm-up, then rehearse music for Sunday morning worship or upcoming concerts. We work hard but we laugh a lot. Most choir members leave with a sense of accomplishment, feeling better than when they arrived.

Whom can I contact if I have more questions?
You may contact Jeannie Chapman, Music Minister or a member of the choir for more information. You may also call the CUMC Music Office, 706.782.4426.

Come give us a try! We'd love to welcome you as a guest! We look forward to seeing you soon.

Join the Sanctuary Choir at our 11 a.m. Traditional Service
Regular rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary.   No audition is required; childcare can be provided. On Sundays we warm up at 10:30 a.m. and sing in the 11 a.m Traditional Worship Service.  You do not have to read music to be part of our group.

Douglas Rumble Handbells…Let’s Ring!
If you can picture yourself ringing handbells, consider joining our adult handbell group. Give it a try! The Douglas Rumble Handbells ring on the 4th Sunday of each month and rehearse on Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.  We’re always looking for people to join. Our services are blessed with such beautiful sounds!

Kids...Wednesdays are fundays!
During our Wednesday Faithbuilders program children in K-5 participate in our music-arts time involving children in music/singing, drama, movement/dance, instruments, and beginning hand chimes. These students perform several times during the year during worship services and for special concerts.
