At Clayton 1st United Methodist, we encourage kids to continue connecting throughout the week! Our Wednesday Faith Builders program provides an opportunity for both members and the community at large to join in the food, fellowship, and fun! This ministry is extended to all children ages K5 – 6th Grade.

Children are divided into four groups. Promise Kids (K5-1st), Club 23 (2nd-3rd), Club 45 (4th-5th), and 6th Grade Mentoring.   Nursery is provided as needed.

Check -in begins at 5:15, followed by a light supper from 5:30 – 6:00. Volunteer Leaders then take their respective groups for a jam packed 45 minutes of music, crafts, & adventure in the Word!  Pick up @ 7:00!

The Fall Season began with a Kick-Off party on September 19th, 5:30-7:00. Beth Moore’s, “The Quest” is our lesson focus! We are excited to offer our children this opportunity to embark on an expedition toward a deeper relationship with God.

Won’t you join us?

Kids Connect - 9:30 am

If you've got a student in grades K-5th grade then we've got just the thing for you at Clayton 1st UMC!

Every Sunday during our Connections contemporary worship service in our Family Life Center, our elementary age students are welcomed into their very own worship space for an hour-long worship service that we call "Kids Connect."

What is Kids Connect? In short, it's a worship service geared just for kids. It includes age-appropriate and hands-on lessons, activities, games, and songs.

At Kids Connect, we invite our kids to participate in worship and recognize that we don’t just “go to worship” but rather we’re a part of worship. We also want to prepare our kids to understand why we do what we do during worship.

If this is the first time your child is participating in Kids Connect, we suggest arriving 15 minutes before the Connection service start time. When you arrive in the main foyer of the Family Life Center, you'll find a Welcome Center and Check-In station to the right. Here you'll meet our children's ministry volunteers who will help get your child registered, provide any information you need, and escort your child to our Kids Connect area.

Kids Worship - 11:00 am

Looking for children's programming during our Traditional worship service at 11:00 am? Have no fear, Kids Worship is here!

Every Sunday during our Traditional worship service in our downtown Sanctuary, our elementary age students  start off in the sanctuary for the beginning of worship. After our Children's Moment, our children are ushered to our Fellowship Hall next door to the Sanctuary for Kids Worship.

Kids Worship is just like Kids Connect--each week we sing uplifting songs, engage in fun and creative crafts and activities, and explore Bible stories in a way that elementary-age kids can connect with and understand.

Our trained staff and children's ministry volunteers want to make sure that we meet your children at their level so that we can help equip them with a solid foundation of faith.

If your child will be visiting Kids Worship for the first time, you're more than welcome to accompany them to our Fellowship Hall next door after the Children's Moment. We know how difficult it can be visiting a new church for the first time and we want to do whatever we can to help you and your family feel right at home.

Nursery - 9:30 and 11:00 am

Childcare is provided by our trained nursery staff during each worship service for children 0-4 years old.

Childcare for our Connections worship service is offered starting at 9:15 am in our Family Life Center. Our nursery is located on the first floor of the FLC in the Creative Learning Center classrooms. Our volunteers at our Kids Connect Check-In station will be happy to help you find the nursery.

Childcare for our Traditional worship service is offered starting at 10:45 am in our Fellowship Hall located next door to the Sanctuary. Our nursery is located on the first floor of the Fellowship Hall. Signage located in the entry way to the Fellowship Hall will point you in the right direction.

We can’t wait to meet your children! We know things are busy at this stage of life and your children are learning and growing in amazing ways. We are ready for them!

At Clayton 1st UMC, we believe in an active, hands-on approach to learning with preschool children. So, you can plan on a lot of jumping, singing, dancing, and laughter in every experience. Be on the lookout for fun crafts and big games.
