Carol Cook
"Welcome to the web site of Clayton First
United Methodist Church! I am glad you have stopped by. Let me
introduce myself.
I was born in Atlanta and grew up near Forsyth, Georgia where I attended
Bolinbroke Methodist Church as a child. I graduated from Mary Persons High
School in 1978. In 1981 I graduated from Tift College with a Bachelor of
Arts in Music Education and majored in voice. I have a Master of Divinity
degree from Emory University. I served as church music director and Director
of Christian Education prior to being ordained in 1989. My appointments
include Associate Pastor at Newnan First UMC, 1989-1992; Pastor of
Hogansville First UMC, 1992-1996; and Pastor of Senoia UMC, 1996-2001;
Pastor of Rockmart First United Methodist Church, 2001-2007.
