We are a group of ladies who meet on 2nd Thursdays of each month at 5:00 and also 4th Mondays at 10:00 am of each month to work on our current project, be it knitting, crocheting, quilting, or needlework. We also are a ministry. Some of the members of our group are participating in a shawl ministry.
The idea of a shawl ministry started about 10 years ago in Connecticut. The shawl maker begins with prayers and blessings for the recipient. The intentions are continued throughout the creation of the shawl. The blessing ripples from person-to-person, with both the giver and the receiver feeling the unconditional embrace of a sheltering, caring God. Holy Stitches has given out 89 shawls to date.
Everyone is welcome no matter what project they choose to work on – come join us for an evening of good Christian fellowship.
