(Pre-k - 5th Grade)

FAITH BUILDERS/KIDS MINISTRY meets on Wednesday evenings, from 5:30—7:00 pm, in the fAMILY LIFE CENTER!!!

Faith Builders is a ministry extended to children pre-k (4 years old) - 5th grade. Students enter their year in 6th grade, before transitioning to Youth Group (rising 7th grade - 12th grade).

Faith Builders meets on Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00 in the Family Life Center. The program begins after Labor Day each year and follows the Rabun County School calendar combined with the Clayton First UMC calendar of events.

Check-in begins at 5:15, followed by a light supper from 5:30-6:00, followed by Bible study/lesson, music, crafts & fun! Dismissal/pick-up is at 7:00 pm. A $2-$5/child donation for supper each week is appreciated!

Children’s Church

It’s so important for children to learn how to worship and feel included as part of the congregation!

Our contemporary Connections Service at 9:00 am begins with a time of family worship and prayer followed by a Children’s Moment. During the school year, children are then dismissed to Children’s Church located in the Creative Learning Center wing of the Family Life Center.

The Traditional Service at 11:00 am allows children an opportunity to observe and participate in a more formal atmosphere as they join in reciting the Apostles Creed and The Lord’s Prayer. After a short Children’s Moment, they are dismissed to Children’s Church in the Fellowship Hall.

Children 3rd grade and up also have an opportunity to serve as acolytes at the Traditional service and “unrobed” acolytes at the Connections service. Acolytes serve from September through Memorial Day, taking the summer months off.
