Calling for Volunteers!

Our next Rabun Aid Program (RAP) weekend is coming up September 11-13! Some volunteers have already signed up for this great time of service, fellowship, and prayer. With all the projects, we can use as many volunteers as we can get!

You can volunteer in a number of ways. 1) Possible projects include property cleanup, moving a few pieces of furniture, and minor home repair, including wheelchair ramps. 2) You can also volunteer as kitchen staff to prepare meals on Friday night, Saturday morning, and Saturday night. 3) A big part of RAP is also visiting with our hosts, talking, praying, and making new friends during our time together. In short, there is a place for everyone to serve!

RAP begins on Friday, September 11, at 6 pm with dinner and then a briefing on the work for Saturday. On Saturday, we will meet for a filling breakfast at 8 AM and then head out for the day at 9 AM. We return for dinner at 6 PM to share and celebrate how God was at work. Then, on Sunday, we share and celebrate again during worship with the congregation.

If you would like to volunteer, please fill out the Volunteer Application on our website or contact RAP project coordinator Walt Thompson at 770-364-7146 or wrthompson@gsu.edu.

Don’t miss this great opportunity to serve like Jesus and love like Jesus.
